The WWE roster is fully behind Triple H and his creative direction.
SmackDown tag team Pretty Deadly, made up of charismatic Londoners Kit Wilson and Elton Prince, have worked under the company’s chief creative officer since their arrival on NXT UK under him and Shawn Michaels in 2020, once describing him as having an ‘alpha whiff’.
Speaking exclusively told Metro, Kit said: ‘We’ve kind of known no different. And I don’t think we have it any other way really? We certainly don’t have any complaints.
‘And I think the whole roster is very happy with the current direction. Obviously, we’re doing massive things, and obviously this Netflix thing is the biggest thing probably the company’s ever done, if not one of.
‘It’s really fruitful for all of us, and we’re all kind of buzzing to be a part of this new era.’
Fellow SmackDown star Chelsea Green – who recently became the inaugural Women’s United States Champion – is similarly enjoying the atmosphere at work.

‘I will never, dull my self down for anyone, and that includes WWE,’ she said. ‘And the beauty is, is that nobody makes me. Everyone embraces my ridiculousness and my crazy ideas and my crazy outfits.’
She added: ‘What I love about the fandom that is WWE Universe, and even my coworkers and my bosses, is they love that about me.’
The former Hot Mess – whose current on-screen rival Michin has also heaped praise on Triple H’s leadership – is delighted to be able to bring her ‘extravagance and a little OTT’ to fans every week.
‘I’m going to keep doing that until the end of time. And let’s hope that the 283 million Netflix subscribers all around the world, in 190 countries love that too,’ she teased, referencing WWE’s recent big money streaming move.

For Pretty Deadly, they are thriving in an environment where they get creative freedom to let their own vision come to life on screen or in the ring.
‘A lot of ideas that we had, whether they’ve gone on to become other things, they’ve changed slightly – It’s been exactly what we wanted,’ Kit explained.
‘A lot of our ideas, we’ve got to do, which has been so fulfilling. Even if these ideas aren’t making it to TV, sometimes we’ve got them filmed, sometimes we’ve done them, sometimes they didn’t make it. But, it’s so great getting to do your own thing.’
There is an authenticity too, with Elton pointing out that being best friends away from the ring makes it easier to embrace the ‘nonsense’.

‘A lot of what we represent is almost nonsense in a way, isn’t it? It’s this silliness, we are just going to be us and be silly and have fun,’ he said.
‘So it does mean that if one of us makes the other one laugh, or if something goes wrong or not how we maybe thought it was going to go, we are able to just kind of bounce off each other and enjoy it, and be in on the joke.’
And although their in-ring appearances on SmackDown have been limited in recent months, they’ve still be featured on television every week, and have been able to face off with the likes of #DIY and Street Profits on live events.
‘Realistically, from every perspective, it’s been fantastic. Getting to do these live events, getting to work with people is phenomenal,’ Elton enthused.

‘People like Ciampa and Gargano, they’re people we watched when we first started teaming and we wanted to be there. These are the guys who were at the top of the game for where we wanted to be.
‘The opportunities that we get to do that, it’s crazy. And also [Street] Profits as well – the same thing for the Profits.’
For Chelsea, it’s been a wild ride with injuries halting her momentum, a shock WWE exit during the pandemic, and a dream return at the Royal Rumble two years ago.

‘I just don’t even think I can put into words the amount of work that’s gone into this, the ups and downs that I’ve had. It’s just been such an unbelievable journey, one that I couldn’t even have wrote if I tried,’ she smiled.
‘And now look at me. I’m in England, looking out at the most beautiful view, chatting with you about my dream job. It’s just, it’s really amazing.’
She added: ‘I’m so honoured to be your first ever United States Champion, and let’s just hope that I keep this title for the rest of my career.’
WWE returns to London with Raw and SmackDown live from The O2 in March. Netflix is the new home of WWE in the UK.
