The celebrity behind Tattoo has been revealed! (Picture: Katelyn Mensah)
Another The Masked Singer UK contestant has been revealed as the hit ITV competition continues.
So far, R&B legend Macy Gray has been identified as Toad in the Hole (after a dramatic storm off stage), Spag Bol was unveiled as Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway and Pegasus as Great British Bake Off icon Dame Prue Leith.
The hit singing guessing game continued tonight with five celebrities performing on stage, as judges Maya Jama, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, and Mo Gilligan shared their theories over who they could all be.
Names like Amanda Seyfried and Jamie Foxx were thrown into the mix, as Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Teeth, Tattoo and Snail kept us guessing.
And though they all blew us away with their singing, sadly, it was time to say goodbye to one of the mysterious celebrities’ time on the show, after a showdown between Dressed Crab and Tattoo.
Host Joel Dommett finally announced that the star that would be losing their place would be Tattoo, with the panel saving Dressed Crab (who is predicted to be Billy Porter or Seal among others)
And after one final performance, they were revealed to be none other than Carol Decker!

The 67-year-old is the lead singer of pop band T’Pau, which reached fame in the late 1980s and early 90s.
Talking about her time on the show, Carol said: ‘I’ve loved it and I’m going to say, I’m gutted!
‘Everybody is amazing. I’m gutted because it’s the best fun ever.’
Predictions for Tattoo had previously included EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace and Lacey Turner, Cheryl, Spice Girl Emma Bunton, and even Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu.

But none of the judges had guessed Carol, after the series of clues which led them to a soap star.
One clue had hinted: ‘I’ve always followed my heart when it comes to my career’, while Tattoo elsewhere said performing had been ‘in their blood’ but they were a ‘late-starter’.
Following the big reveal, the judges praised Carol’s vocals and energy on stage, with Davina saying how ‘amazing’ she was.
Explaining the clues, Carol said one of her earliest hits, China in Your Hand, reached the top spot when she was 30, hence calling herself a ‘late-starter’.

Another clue, ‘next available reservation five weeks time’, also linked back to China in Your Hand, which was in the number one spot for five weeks.
Elsewhere, the clue of fishnet tights with a picture of Natalie Appleton had to do with Carol’s own record label, Gnatfish.
One of the final clues, rugby boots, nodded to Carol’s song One Heart, which was the official song of the 1995 Rugby League World Cup.
Despite her costume though, the star has no tattoos herself, but the ‘mum’ tattoo that appeared in one VT actually referenced Carol’s appearance in TV show Mum’s The Word.

As well as her musical achievements, Carol has starred on stage and screen, including in 2002 film 9 Dead Gay Guys and comedy series Trigger Happy TV.
She also appeared in the second series of BBC competition Just the Two of Us, but was first to be eliminated with duet partner Gregg Wallace.
Carol also made a guest appearance in Benidorm, and released her autobiography, Heart And Soul, in 2022.
T’Pau formed in 1986, taking their name from a Star Trek reference, and releasing their first hit, Heart and Soul, the following year.
The band has seen several members over the years, and released their fifth studio album, Pleasure & Pain, in 2015.
The Masked Singer continues on Saturdays at 7pm on ITV1.
