A Ted Lasso star has convinced fans he’s confirmed the series will be making a return.
In 2023 fans of the sports comedy-drama were left heartbroken after it was reported the show would be wrapping up.
Created by and starring Jason Sudeikis, the Apple TV Plus series followed the titular character, an American college football coach hired to coach the fictional Richmond FC.
Although many were sure his efforts would be futile, the at times clueless coach managed to prove he had what it took to motivate the players and bring them back from relegation.
The first season, which aired in 2020, was called ‘pure gold’, a ‘warm delight’ and ‘straight up perfection by some fans, while it was nominated for a jaw-dropping 20 Emmy Awards.
It was then followed by two subsequent seasons, which aired in 2021 and 2023.

Although Brett Goldstein, who played the foul-mouthed footballer Roy Kent, previously said the third season would be the last, there’s been signs that might no longer be the case.
Nick Mohammed, who played kit man turned assistant coach Nate Shelley, has been one of the stars driving the speculation.
The actor, 44, has been declared a ‘saviour’ after a recent social media post.
In the clip Nick, also a comedian, explained how some of the dates for his stand-up ‘Show Pony’ tour had to be rescheduled.
‘I know there’ll be a lot of speculation as to why I moved these dates… I’ll be honest, it is for some filming that I’ve not been able to shift,’ he began.

After joking that listening to fans guesses for the reason was ‘the last thing I want’, he briefly held up a sign that read ‘BELIEVE’, a reference to the hit series.
Unsurprisingly many couldn’t contain their excitement despite nothing officially being confirmed yet.
‘Do not speculate what it might be. *Holds the “Believe” sign* This is just genius! Love it!!!’ gamatoca posted on X.
‘Nick clowning about season 4 will never not be funny. (But also you better not be clowning this time Nick),’ Kat shared.
‘The roller coaster ride that never ends OMG can someone please just confirm,’ veglasso added.

During his time on Ted Lasso, Nick was nominated for two Primetime Emmys for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.
In August last year it was also reported a fourth season was looking likely with Warner Bros. Television picking up options on Brett, Hannah Waddingham, and Jeremy Swift.
Meanwhile, in January 2021, Warner Bros. Television chief exeuctive Channing Dungey said that ‘should the opportunity arise, we’d be excited to jump back into making more’ Ted Lasso.
‘There are always conversations that are ongoing, just nothing that’s official,’ he added.
