Parents have been celebrating the arrival of a beloved kids’ entertainer on Netflix—but do you know who she is?

Earlier this month, the streaming service revealed that four extra special episodes of Ms Rachel would be released on the platform.

Ms Rachel is known for making ‘playful, research-backed videos for every stage of a child’s development, from early language skills to phonics and learning to read’.

The vlogger—real name Rachel Accurso—is an American YouTuber best known for creating the online series Songs for Littles, a children’s music series focused on language development for toddlers and babies.

After uploading four 30-60 minute interactive episodes, Netflix has also teased there will be ‘more Ms Rachel episodes to come later this year’.

But before you sit down to watch her Netflix episodes with your children, we’ll help you get to know everything you need to know about Ms Rachel.

How popular is Ms Rachel’s YouTube channel?

Since starting her channel in February 2019, Ms Rachel has amassed a jaw-dropping 13.3million subscribers on YouTube and also has 2.4million Instagram followers.

With more than 10billion views on her channel, Ms Rachel’s videos incorporate singing, dancing, and play, helping children learn how to talk and express their emotions.

According to YouTube statistics, she has accrued those 10bn views from just 118 videos—which means each of her videos has been watched, on average, more than 550million times.

Her most popular video, the hour-long Baby Learning With Ms Rachel, has been watched 1.1billion times since it was first uploaded just over two years ago.

Ms Rachel is married to her husband, Aron Accurso. The pair created the 10bn-strong YouTube channel in response to a lack of media resources for their son.

Aron is a Broadway music director and musician—Aron helps to create some of the musical moments in Ms Rachel’s friendly YouTube videos.

The couple decided to start the channel when their son developed a speech delay—he didn’t say his first word until he was two years old.

Ms Rachel also has a background in music, having studied music education and worked as a music teacher in a preschool before starting her YouTube channel.

The channel was popular to begin with, but became especially famous during the Covid-19 pandemic when parents were watching YouTube videos at home with their small children.

The Mirror said that, as of November 2023, her net worth was more in the region of $8.4million (around £6.7m), which is hardly an amount to be sniffed at.
