Warning: Contains spoilers for the TV series Snowpiercer.
All four seasons of an acclaimed thriller series starring Sean Bean and Jennifer Connelly are finally available to stream for free in the UK.
Snowpiercer, which aired between 2020 and 2024, is based on the Bong Joon-Ho film of the same name, which was first released in 2013.
As well as starring Jennifer and Sean in key roles, the show’s cast also includes Hamilton star Daveed Diggs and English actress Mickey Sumner.
Much like the film, Snowpiercer follows the story of a train that traverses the globe, carrying the only humans left on Earth seven years after a sudden apocalyptic ice age event.
The award-winning series was helmed primarily by Graeme Manson after being initially created by Graeme and fellow TV writer Josh Friedman.

Initially given a mixed reaction by critics for its first few episodes, later seasons saw critics warm up to it, and its fanbase continued to grow.
However, after the first three seasons ended up on Netflix, the show’s fourth and final season wasn’t picked up by a major TV distributor or streamer in the UK.
This was caused by the merger between Warner Bros. and Discovery in 2022, with the fourth and final season eventually being sold to American network AMC.

Thankfully, for fans of the series in Britain who’ve had to wait for months, that’s now changed, with all four seasons of Snowpiercer finally available to stream on ITVX.
This is likely down to Tomorrow Studios – who produce the series – being a subsidiary of ITV, allowing Snowpiercer to be streamed in the UK at last.
Celebrating the show on X, @FantasySven said: ‘I hope everyone is watching Snowpiercer because this show is incredible.’
@ShikarisCats commented: ‘Is anyone out there watching Snowpiercer? Because every time a new season airs I am blown away by it.’
In the first season, the episodes focus on the living conditions of passengers at the rear of the train and how class divisions still exist even after 99% of humanity has been wiped out.

During season two, the class struggle continues, but the main plot sees the Snowpiercer revealed as not being the only train traversing the globe during the new ice age.
The third season sees some characters leave the Snowpiercer in a bid to find habitable land on Earth several years after the apocalypse, while the owners of the Snowpiercer fight bigger conflicts.
Season four proved to be the last, with the Snowpiercer’s final conflicts heading for resolutions as hopes of a new world are discovered under the ice.
During a conversation with UPI, Jennifer, who plays Melanie Cavill in the series, said: ‘It ends in an interesting place, but could also be interpreted as a beginning if that’s what people decide they want to do with it.
While the series went in a very different direction, it’s based on the same text that Bong Joon-Ho adapted for his film from 11 years ago.
That text is the French graphic novel series Le Transperceneige (literally translates to Snowpiercer), which was published in 1982 and was later retitled The Escape.
