It looks like Minah’s heart is too pure at the final stretch (Picture: PA/Getty)
I hate typing this going into the final week of The Traitors season 3 – but Minah is a lost cause.
After instantly becoming the best traitor the UK has ever seen, it looks like her heart is too pure at the final stretch.
She’s recruited Charlotte, unaware of her strange and mildly offensive secret that she’s putting on a Welsh accent, and ironically put all her faith in the one person who seems like they can’t wait to stab her in the back.
Now I find myself having no choice but to support a somewhat rogue choice for the win – Alexander.
So how did we get here?

Ever since Claudia Winkleman tapped Armani, Linda and Minah to be traitors, they instantly forged a sisterhood.
Unfortunately, Armani’s ego blew herself up – there was no saving her. She had to go and Minah knew it to protect herself and Linda.
Then it was Linda’s turn.

Even the 70-year-old former opera singer knew she was on borrowed time before her banishment, reassuring Minah beforehand that she could vote for her. This was either incredibly generous or the 99th time Linda proved she had absolutely no grasp of the game (I miss her greatly).

For some inexplicable reason – unless it’s been cut out in the edit – Minah hasn’t shared her side of the story to Charlotte, the replacement traitor she recruited after Linda’s downfall.
As a result, Charlotte understandably thinks Minah is the biggest backstabber in the castle, willing to throw her fellow traitors under the bus to clinch the prize money for herself. But the truth is, it looks like she’s genuinely the first traitor who really wants to split the jackpot and celebrate sisterhood.
Unfortunately, the concept of a ‘sisterhood’ among the traitors to anyone who wasn’t in said sisterhood from the get-go is quite rightly a total farce. So the way I see it, unless Minah makes this clear to Charlotte, there is no way she is taking home a penny of the prize fund.
I’ve grown to like Charlotte. Initially, I was just itching for her to slip-up and accidentally speak with an English accent – but I’m not sure there’s even much of a trace of Welsh in her accent anymore for anyone to even notice.

Accent aside, she was an inoffensive faithful. So I wouldn’t have felt anything either way if she’d been banished.
As a traitor, she’s transformed. She is utterly brilliant – an evil genius who looks like she’s about to come out of nowhere and win the whole thing (potentially proving that maybe Welsh people are ‘more trustworthy’ than the English after all).
Suddenly she’s got a fire in her that has completely changed the series, which was otherwise being carried entirely by Minah. Finally, another player worthy of being a winner.
She’s soared in my estimations, but I’ll be devastated if she wins. If Minah’s going down, I hope she takes Charlotte down with her.
Charlotte is the most likeable villain I’ve ever come across – I’ve become a big fan. But I am genuinely struggling to process the thought of Minah being thrown under the bus for being too trustworthy after playing such a blinder.
The only justice in the world would be for Charlotte to fall with her – and if there’s anyone who is going to catch her out and deserve to claim victory instead, it’s Alexander.
He’s the only man who can become a thirst-trap by jumping into a bush and singing nursery rhymes in the style of Alfie Boe.
With each episode, Alexander has become the clear hero of the series. To me, he is the only faithful who has even a shred of intuition – not that his comrades listen to a word he says, despite his background as a British diplomat.
I absolutely adore Alexander (Picture: BBC / Studio Lambert)
He’s smart without being condescending (unless you ask Leanne) and he has the heart of a Disney prince with the camp edge of a Colin Firth rom-com gent.
Alexander proved his generosity by helping carry three alarmingly phallic statues up a hill in the last challenge when everyone else struggled. Bearing in mind almost everyone else has made it clear they don’t trust him too.
This year’s faithful have been truly awful from start to finish. Despite being privy to far more information than any batch of faithful in seasons before them, they’ve proven to be completely useless and often quite unpleasant while pointing the finger at the wrong person.
Few of them should watch the series back and not flinch at their behaviour, but Alexander can – and should – be so proud to be one of the only faithful to leave the series with his dignity intact. Not to mention a queue of singles desperate for a match after reportedly finding his Hinge profile online.

I absolutely adore him. And if Minah isn’t going home with the money, I desperately hope Alexander does. This is especially true so that he can fulfil his dream to donate money to The Royal Mencap Society, which took care of his disabled brother and gave their parents some respite when they needed it most.
This time last week, I felt as though The Traitors would be lost without Minah. I was so sure there would be no one else to root for when it came to the last hurdle, but amen for Alexander.
My heart might be with Minah but my faith is in Alexander. It’s time to switch allegiance.
The Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
