Keanu Reeves actually made a cameo in the Severance season two premiere and most of us completely missed it.
The hugely acclaimed series returned to Apple TV+ last week, after three years of waiting and obsessing over that season one cliffhanger.
Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower and John Turturro reprised their roles as the severed employees of the Macrodata Refinement Team at Lumon Industries, led by supervisors Tramell Tillman and Patricia Arquette.
The show – which has been branded the ‘best series of 2025 – already boasts a packed cast, including Christopher Walken, Dichen Lachman, Alia Shawkat and Gwendoline Christie, while Ben Stiller serves as director.
But it turns out that the Matrix legend also got in on the action when the program came back.
If you thought the voice of the office building in the ‘Lumon is Listening’ video that the team were shown on their return to work was familiar, those dulcet tones actually belong to Keanu himself.

Adam spilled the beans on the A-list cameo during a talk at 92NY on Monday night, while promoting the latest batch of episodes.
When host Josh Horowitz questioned how they managed to land such a huge name for the voice part, he said: ‘Ben… I guess he just reached out?
‘I remember when he told me on set that he was going to do the voice, and I was so unbelievably happy.

‘First thing I did was text my wife [Naomi] who is just an enormous, enormous Keanu Reeves fan – as am I. I mean, good Lord. So great.’
John Wick icon Keanu is no stranger to voice acting, having popped up as Duke Kaboom in Toy Story 4, and his most recent role came as Shadow in Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
Series creator Dan Erickson shed further light on his surprise stint, explaining that there were other stars in the frame.

‘All I can say is that we talked about a couple of different people for that role,’ he told Collider. ‘We always wanted it to be somebody that people have certain associations with, but also, it had to be a very warm presence.
‘The Lumon building is very friendly in the context of this video, and there’s a friendliness to that particular voice and a heart to that particular voice.’
Unsurprisingly, viewers couldn’t get enough of Keanu’s mini tie to the Lumon gang, and flocked to social media to rave about his cameo.

As Roy Klemensten added: ‘@BenStiller having Keanu Reeves playing a building has got to be one of the most ingenious casting decisions ever. Loving #Severance again! Welcome back Innies!’
