Loose Women star Coleen Nolan says she’s ‘worried’ about her finances, even though there is a reportedly hefty fee for every Loose Women appearance.

The 59-year-old media personality rose to fame as part of the hit 70s family girl group The Nolans which sold over 30 million records.

She joined Loose Women in 2000 as a regular panellist and has been a fixture of the ITV daytime show for the past 25 years, accumulating a reported net worth of around £4.5m.

She now lives on a six-acre farm in North Staffordshire with her two children and their partners.

It’s also estimated that Loose Women presenters receive a £3,000 fee per episode, per The Sun in 2020.

Despite this, in a new interview with Woman’s Own, she revealed that most of her money goes straight on the bills, making her feel the squeeze ‘just like everyone else’.

‘Bills are going up, mortgages have gone up. Just when you think “oh, okay, I can do this,” then something else goes up and you think “oh my God”.

‘Money that I make literally goes straight out on bills, the mortgage, like everyone, and insurance or whatever.

“So although it looks like, wow, she’s got a lovely life, a lovely little farm, and it is lovely, and I know there’s people a lot worse off, I’ve still got these worries. Especially at the moment, mine is the only income coming in,’ she said.

It comes after a difficult few months for the music-artist-turned-TV-star. Earlier in January she paid tribute to her sister Linda Nolan who died aged 65 following a secondary breast cancer diagnosis.

‘Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others.

‘Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten,’ she wrote in a statement in The Mirror.

And in December, she shared the news that she had broken up with her partner of three years, Michael Jones, a supermarket logistics worker who she lived with.

The Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice star told OK! Magazine: ‘We’ve decided that we would rather just stay friends, take it as a friendship, And, you know, it’s nothing to do with anyone else, it’s nobody’s fault.

‘But I’m really busy and when I’m not really busy with work I’m busy on the farm and I feel personally that I can’t give time to everything.

‘We still get along great and hopefully we can continue to be friends, who knows?’

It’s far from the first time the youngest Nolan has opened up about her relationship with money.

Reflecting on almost entering her sixth decade, she told Closer: ‘I’m turning 60 feeling strong and confident, and quite proud of what I’ve achieved, especially in the past few years when I’ve achieved it on my own.

‘Of course, I still lie in bed at night worrying about how I’m going to pay the bills, but it gives me the incentive to work hard, and that’s good.’

She recently said that she ‘ended up with nothing’ from her time in The Nolans (Picture: Shutterstock)

In September last year, she opened up about her frugal upbringing to The Telegraph and shared that she doesn’t see a penny from her past music career.

‘It was always hard. We lived in a little terraced house in Blackpool and I later learned that my mum pawned her wedding rings to get us Christmas presents. But I never heard my parents moan. It made me grow up with a good appreciation of money,’ she said.

Then added about her time in the band: ‘We got paid a wage every week of £165. And I was 15, so that was quite a lot of money.

‘We had all these people around us saying it was fine but we were ripped off. We sold 30 million records and didn’t end up with anything.’
