Fans are rallying behind wrestling star Allie Katch after she suffering a horrific injury which forced her match to be scrapped.
The 30-year-old wrestler was performing at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Sunday night when a routine dive to the outside of the ring went badly wrong during The People vs. GCW live event.
Allie landed awkwardly and broke her leg in too places, with viewers left reeling as they noticed the angle of her limb.
She was stretchered out of the venue and rushed to hospital, while local sporting regulations meant the event needed to be paused until an ambulance was back on site.
‘Tonight at GCW at the Hammerstein Ballroom show in NYC unfortunately Allie suffered a serious injury, breaking 2 bones in her leg,’ confirmed her friend and ex-WWE star Steph De Lander.
Writing on a GoFundMe page which has already racked up over $11,000 in donations to help with medical expenses, she added: ‘Allie will be undergoing surgery within the next couple of days, hopefully tomorrow.’

Allie has since given an update to fans, thanking Steph De Lander for supporting her, while admitting it’s a ‘very scary and uncertain time’ for her.
‘I feel the love and I am so grateful, it’s the light in this very scary and uncertain time,’ she wrote.
‘Forever in debt to Steph for taking care of me and thank you to all who have reached out. I’ll have more to say and update later but I am so tired and hangry yall!!! (sic)’
Elsewhere on the show, former WWE star Baron Corbin – now working on his real name Tom Pestock – wrestled his first match since his contract expired earlier this month.

The former United States Champion was informed his deal wouldn’t be extended, and fans got their first chance to see him back in action at the ballroom.
He lost to Bloodsport chief Josh Barnett, while the event also saw appearances from ECW and WWE alumni like Tajiri, Super Crazy, Sabu and Matt Cardona.
And in the main event, independent wrestling sensation EFFY – who was Allie Katch’s opponent at the time of her injury – captured the GCW World Title from Mance Warner in the main event.
