Netflix viewers are celebrating after it was announced a beloved children’s show would now be available on the platform.
This week the streaming service revealed four episodes of Ms. Rachel would be released in a ‘curated compilation of her playful, research-backed videos for every stage of a child’s development, from early language skills to phonics and learning to read’.
For the uninitiated, Ms. Rachel (Rachel Accurso) is an American singer and educator best known for creating the YouTube series Songs for Littles, a children’s music series focused on language development for toddlers and babies.
Since starting her channel in 2019, she’s amassed a jaw-dropping 13.1 million subscribers on YouTube and also has 2.4 million Instagram followers.
With more than a billion views, Ms. Rachels’ videos incorporate singing, dancing and play, helping children learn how to talk and express their emotions.
Now, later this month, the four 30-60 minute episodes that will be added by Netflix will offer viewers interactive lessons that teach letters, numbers, colours, shapes, and more.

After hearing the news, many (adult) fans shared their excitement, some on behalf of the youngsters in their life too.
‘Yesss!!!! Ms. Rachel getting that Netflix bag!!!!’ Normani posted on X.
‘Let me send this to my nephew. This is his beychella,’ Katherine shared.
‘Way to go!’ Ian added.

Many others praised the ‘brilliant’ news after Ms. Rachel shared the update on her Instagram.
The content creator, 42, studied music education and worked as a music teacher in a preschool before starting her YouTube channel.
She began that with her husband, Broadway music director and composer Aron Accurso, after they struggled to find media resources for their son who had a speech delay and did not say his first word until he was two years old.
Netflix has also teased there will be ‘more episodes to come later this year’.
The Ms. Rachel episodes will be streaming from January 27 on Netflix.
