Celebrity Bear Hunt is on Netflix in February (Picture: Netflix)
The line-up for Netflix’s latest reality show, which will be hosted by Holly Willoughby, has not disappointed.
The new action-packed competition series Celebrity Bear Hunt is arriving on the streamer next month, with stars including Mel B and Shirley Ballas set to be tested to their limits.
Viewers will watch as a group of unlikely celebrities are dropped into the Central American jungle. Here they will become ‘prey for one of the ‘world’s most fearsome predators’ – Bear Grylls. Holly, 43, will be right there at the location, keeping audiences up to speed on the action.
The 50-year-old adventurer aims to challenge each of the stars to find out if his theory that there’s an action hero inside all of us. That’s a great hypothesis, and we look forward to seeing if it’s correct when we tune in from the comfort of our living rooms.
‘As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded “Bear Hunt” – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, face elimination from the show,’ the synopsis teases.
But, just who put themselves through the challenge of a lifetime? And as a bonus, find out their tagline on the show – it’s giving Real Housewives energy in an I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here style setting…
Who is taking part in Celebrity Bear Hunt?
Mel B
‘She’s here to spice up the jungle and face the Bear Pit head on!’

Mel B or Scary Spice is known for her adoration of leopard print, so perhaps she’ll be able to embrace her wild side in the jungle location.
She first found fame in the iconic 90s girl group The Spice Girls, and they most recently reunited for a tour in 2019, but sans Victoria Beckham.
In recent years, the 49-year-old can often be found behind a judging panel, with stints on America’s Got Talent, and The X Factor Australia.
Shirley Ballas
‘Will those high kicks and spins help when it comes to evading Bear Grylls?’

Recently single Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas is swapping her comfy chair on the BBC chair for jungle life.
Having become a Ballroom and Latin Champion before embarking on the world of TV, the 64-year-old knows a thing or two about hard work which could help her out.
Leomie Anderson
‘Will she be a model team player or will she get caught in one of Bear’s traps?’

31-year-old model Leomie Anderson has been gracing catwalks for years, even walking in Victoria’s Secret fashion show four times.
She has also diversified into presenting taking over BBC’s Glow Up: Britain’s Next Makeup Star from Maya Jama.
Boris Becker
‘He’s served on courts around the world but will he ace Bear Grylls’ challenges?’

Next up on the list is Boris Becker, who is an extremely decorated tennis player. The 57-year-old has been Wimbledon Champion not once, twice, but three times. The sportsman was even the youngest-ever winner of the gentlemen’s singles at the tournament, and is also the former number one tennis player in the world. Quite a list of accolades!
Kola Bokinni
‘He is ready to head into the Bear Pit, but will he captain his fellow team mates or go at it alone?’

Kola Bokinni is no stranger to a televised overseas challenge, having just competed on Celebrity Race Across the World. He wasn’t able to win that one, but perhaps he’ll have more luck on Celebrity Bear Hunt.
His first major on-screen credit was an episode of Charlie Brooker’s dark anthology series Black Mirror in 2016. Three years later, Kola, 32, was cast as Leyton in Netflix’s reboot of crime drama series Top Boy, but his most recognised role is Richmond AFC footballer Isaac in the heart-warming series Ted Lasso.
Danny Cipriani
‘He will be tackling the challenges head on but will he be a match for Bear Grylls?’

Another recently single competitor is Danny Cipriani, 37, who previously played for the England rugby team. He officially retired from the sport in 2024, and is clearly already exploring different avenues.
He already knows one of his co-stars, Shirley, having competed on the Strictly Christmas special one year ago.
Zuhair Hassan (AKA Big Zuu)
‘He’s confident in his skills, but will he be able to take the heat or will the pressure be too much to handle?’

Big Zuu, real name Zuhair Hassan, is a rapper, but perhaps better known for being a TV Chef.
His shows have included Big Zuu’s Big Eats, and Big Zuu’s Breakfast Show. In 2024, he presented the documentary Big Zuu Goes to Mecca, which followed the 29-year-old’s Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca.
Una Healy
‘Our Irish beauty will not be able to sing her way out of these brutal challenges!’
Una Healy was a vital part of The Saturdays (Picture: Ray Burmiston/Netflix)
Mel B isn’t the only girl band star as Una Healy is also on the line-up. Her band The Saturdays were formed in 2007 – together, they sold over eight million records, and 13 top ten singles, before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2014.
The 43-year-old embraced a solo career after the band dispersed, and her most recent song Walk Away came out just two years ago.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen
‘There will be no changing rooms here, only changing strategy.’

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is well-known for pushing home decor to the extreme in Changing Rooms.
The show, which saw two sets of friends swap keys to renovate a room in each other’s homes, began in 1996 before briefly returning in 2021. It’ll be nice to see Laurence, 59, back on screens again, but this time when he encounters animal print, it won’t be on a fabric sample.
Steph McGovern
‘Will Steph be sent packing or will she come out on top?’

After 675 episodes, and a BAFTA nomination Steph McGovern’s Channel 4 show, Steph’s Packed Lunch came to an end in 2023. The 42-year-old presenter has since been focused on her Radio 4 comedy panel show The Ultimate Choice, podcast The Rest Is Money, and now, Celebrity Bear Hunt.
Lottie Moss
‘Will this model student be able to outsmart the teacher?’

Lottie Moss followed her big sister Kate Moss into the world of modelling. The 27-year-old also dabbled in TV with Celebs Go Dating, which saw her engage in a romance with Adam Collard, but now she’s taking things up a notch.
Joe Thomas
‘The only thing standing in between him and freedom is Bear Grylls – but will he fold under pressure?’
Joe Thomas is best known for his time on The Inbetweeners (Picture: Ray Burmiston/Netflix)
Joe Thomas played the sweet but a little dim Simon Cooper on The Inbetweeners. The power of the show is that the quotes long outlived its transmission on Channel 4 (and subsquent movies). Fans can’t let the idea of a reunion go, but for the moment, Joe, 41, is otherwise engaged taking on Bear.
When will Celebrity Bear Hunt be on Netflix?

Netflix subscribers don’t have too long to wait as the series will be added to the platform on February 5.
Prior to the series coming onto the platform, some people have expressed scepticism about the concept.
However, with Netflix budget, a pretty stellar line-up, Bear being Bear, and Holly at the forefront it could have all the ingredients to be the next big reality show.
