The Traitors star Anna Duke has pushed back against criticism after ‘annoyed men’ questioned her clothing choices.

The 28-year-old swimming teacher from County Wicklow in Ireland was one of the Faithfuls on the current season of the BBC series but was murdered last week.

Throughout her time on the show Anna faced questions about her loyalty to the group, but when faced with being recruited as a Traitor, turned the offer down.

While appearing, Anna also stood out with her colourful and eye-catching outfits, which she’s documented on social media as episodes have aired.

Two weeks ago, she posted a TikTok showing all her outfits from her first few episodes, captioning it: ‘I’m not a girl who sails, I’m a girl who slays. Some of my favourite outfits from the traitors so far!’

Many said they loved her ‘fantastic’ outfits, which included a floral crochet top paired with turquoise pants, a black cardigan with leopard print collar she wore with pants of the same print, and a mint green tracksuit.

‘My last outfit video from my time on The Traitors and Unclocked!!!  My outfits aren’t for everyone, but if they’ve even inspired one person to dress more colourfully my work here is done!’ she wrote.

Responding to some men in her comments, Anna told one: ‘Another day, another man annoyed I wear what I like.’

However others said she was a ‘fashion queen’ with her 90s inspired outfits (Picture: BBC)

She told another to ‘stop trying to insult women you don’t know online’.

Commenting on her pushing back, one X user wrote: ‘I don’t understand all of her outfits (a man with zero fashion sense) but she’s clearly so happy and confident in them and that’s all that should matter. God forbid someone is creative and shows personality with their clothes. Good on her clapping back at people hating.’

Another said they were ‘jealous as her outfits stole the show’ while someone else said she was a ‘style queen’.

Before being eliminated Anna said if she were to win any prize money, she’d like to set up her own fashion brand.

‘I went to college twice, my first degree was media, but my second degree was pattern drafting to be a seamstress,’ she said.

‘I’m passionate about sustainable fashion and would love to set up a sustainable fashion line that’s slightly more affordable for young women.

‘I really admire some UK brands but they’re harder to get in Ireland, so I’d love to do an Irish line.’

The Traitors continues on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
