Dawn French

One of the clues showers a calender with the words ‘tea with the vicar’ written across one date. The markings didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, who immediately linked the clue to Dawn French.

The comedian famously played vicar Geraldine Granger in The Vicar of Dibley for six years from 1994 to 2000, before returning for several specials, the most recent in 2020.

Taking to X, some viewers communicated just how convinced they were that it has been Dawn all along.

‘Teeth has to be Dawn French!’ wrote Shireen. Thomas. Katie Flynn summarised: ‘I think that teeth is @Dawn_French because of the clue tea with the vicar so referencing to @vicarofdibley1.’

Morgan S. Thomas wanted it to be known that they guessed Dawn long before the clue. ‘I thought Dawn French before that tea with the vicar clue,’ they stated.

Maya Jama is convinced the identity of Teeth is comedian Rob Beckett, mainly due to the binoculars and map clues. The stand-up star has a travel show with fellow comic Romesh Ranganathan.

Rob & Romesh Vs first aired in 2019 and follows the long-time friends as they venture around the world taking on challenges.

He also has quite prominent teeth and is known to love football, which fits with the tackling references in Teeth’s VT.

Alan Carr

Jonathan Ross suggested Rylan Clark as a possibility, as he’s known for his teeth.

However, he also threw Alan Carr’s name into the mix, as he has a podcast called Life’s A Beach, and Teeth’s introductory VT was filmed at the seaside.

Alan got his breakthrough in 2001 when he won big at the BBC New Comedy Awards.

He’s since gone on to appear on countless TV and radio shows, having hosted his own (Alan Carr: Chatty Man) and even been a guest panellist on The Masked Singer.

Alex Scott

Davina McCall couldn’t believe suggestions that Teeth is a man. Instead, she’s adamant that it’s a woman, a statement that earned applause from the audience in agreement.

She suggested former Arsenal player Alex Scott, due to the references to sport.

Now a commentator, previously mostly played as a right-back for Arsenal in the FA WSL and made 140 appearances for the England national team.

Jimmy Bullard

Mo Gilligan noted that Teeth seemed to be a rather confident character.

Due to the football clues, he put forward Jimmy Bullard.

Jimmy was the co-host of the Saturday morning Sky Sports show Soccer AM. He also previously played as a midfielder and played youth football at West Ham United before moving to Gravesend & Northfleet in 1998.

As for his TV appearances, Jimmy took on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2014 but was eliminated first.

Jill Scott

Maya agreed with Davina that Teeth’s identity is ‘one of the hardest to guess’.

However, she also threw in another footballer’s name, Jill Scott, due to the clues suggesting Teeth is someone sporty and who also has a bubbly personality.

Jill rose to fame playing as a midfielder in women’s professional football, representing her country in the World Cup.

She also won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022.

Mutya Buena

Jonathan reckons there’s a strong chance of a Sugababe being behind Teeth’s mask.

He put forward Mutya Buena’s name, having picked up on the clue about ‘walking the walk’. In 2007, the girl band covered Walk This Way, along with Girls Aloud, for Comic Relief.

Push the Button hitmaker Mutya is one of the trio’s original members, having scored four UK number-one singles with the band.

The Masked Singer airs each weekend on ITV1 and ITVX.
