Some This Morning viewers expressed disappointment in the way Nigel Farage was interviewed on the ITV show.
During today’s episode the Reform UK leader sat down to speak with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to chat about his career, time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here! and his relationship with other political figures.
During the discussion, they also questioned Farage on whether he’d consider the role of prime minister, which he didn’t rule out.
A key part of the segment saw Farage being asked about spending time with Donald Trump and Elon Musk, with both men receiving praise. Farage called Musk ‘a hero’ and said he respects his commitment to free speech, even if he doesn’t agree with everything he says. The 60-year-old added that he is certain that billionaire Musk will be giving the Reform party funding.
Farage made it clear he had appreciation for ITV, and praised his time in the jungle helping him reach this point with the Reform party.
The interview ended with quickfire questions where Farage had to choose between Ant and Dec (he couldn’t decide), and whether he’d be a traitor or faithful on The Traitors (traitor).

For the occasion, Farage chose to wear American-themed socks which he purchased from a merchandise stand while attending the Trump inauguration. He told Shephard, 50, and Deeley, 48, that Trump ‘loves the UK’.
Following the chat, those who’d tuned in shared their unhappiness at the exchange.
‘What a pathetic interview, utterly biased and not an ounce of criticism for the s**t and lies he’s spouting,’ wrote Flopsy Pickle on X.
Mr Greg added: ‘I expected better from Ben since he would be a bit more pressing on GMTV.’
‘Just turned on This Morning and Farage is on. Turned it straight back off. Why is the media constantly platforming him?’ asked Sarah Jane.

Philippa Shallcrass said it resembled a ‘party political broadcast’ while John Rom highlighted some of the more light-hearted parts of the interview: ‘Of course This Morning are asking Nigel Farage …. what his favourite Nando’s flavour is.’
‘Disappointed that @thismorning has stopped to the low levels of having the hate monger Nigel Farage on their show. Another program added to my ‘do not watch’ list,’ typed Jon Gambling.
Others said they ‘absolutely loved’ seeing Farage on the show, and said he spoke ‘articulately and honestly’.
James and Tominey discussed Farage’s interview (Picture: ITV)
After Farage’s time in the studio came to an end, Ashley James and Camilla Tominey gave their opposing views on the segment.
James said that she was wary of how he didn’t condemn Musk, and thought his reasoning could be partly financial.
‘If he was trying to distance himself from the far right, he would condemn Elon Musk. There’s free speech but there’s some opinions you just shouldn’t of,’ she stated.
Whereas, Tominey seemingly thought that free speech shouldn’t have limitations.
Later in the show, Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski was in the kitchen and made a very topical joke. He told hosts he originally planned to make a milkshake but had to quickly change his choice.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
